Andrew Sorgdrager, 80, died Saturday in the Orange City Municipal Hospital.

Services were at 1 pm Tuesday in the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. John T. Ebbers officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home in Orange City.

Mr. Sorgdrager was born Nov. 30, 1903 in Newkirk. He married Johanna Noteboom, April 7, 1931 in LeMars. She died May 24, 1975. He was employed at the Farmers Co-op in Orange City until retirement on 1970. He was a lifelong resident of the Orange City area.

He was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include one son, Merle of Rock Rapids; one daughter, Mrs. James (Helen) Brown of Orange City; one brother, Peter Sorgdrager of Sibley; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Hinds of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Marie Zylstra of Sumas, Wash., and Mrs. Tillie Martens of Boonville, Ind.; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters and one brother.
