Funeral services for Mrs. Jake Solsma of Hull, Iowa, who passed away Wednesday, August 29, were held Saturday, September 1, with services at the home at 1:00 o'clock and 1:30 at the First Reformed church at Hull with Rev. Nick Rozeboom, officiating. Burial was in the Newkirk cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Anthony Smit, John Jr. Smit, John Riemersma, Henry Jr. Riemersma, Wilbur Reimersma, and John Lyftogt.

Mrs. Jake Solsma passed away Wednesday noon at the age of 84 years, 2 months and 21 days. Mrs. Solsma's first husband, John Riemersma, preceded her in death on December 27, 1933. To that union four children were born, Henry Reimersma of Sheldon, Maggie, Mrs. John T. Smit of Hull and Agnes, Mrs. Ben Lyftogt and Kattie, Mrs. Joe Lyftogt and Kattie, Mrs. Joe Lyftogt, who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Solsma had two brothers and two sisters in The Netherlands. In August of 1937 she was united in marriage to Jake Solsma who survives. Mrs. Solsma is survived by 20 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren and the following step children Janet, Mrs. Henry Kruiselbrink; Mrs. Jennie Kruiselbrink; Bert; Dick and Joe Solsma; Johanna, Mrs. Klaas Ardema; Kate, Mrs. Jim Ver Hoef and John Solsma.
