Funeral services were held at Central Reformed Church here Saturday, June 5, for Mrs. Johanna Swets, 70, who passed away in Sioux City following a few days confinement.

Services were conducted by the Rev. J. B. Hulst and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City under the direction of Van Etten Funeral Home.

Mrs. Swets had resided in Orange City prior to moving to Sioux Center about two years ago.

She was born July 7, 1900, daughter of Willem and Johanna Terring, and was married to John Swets on February 18, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1940. An infant daughter also preceded her in death.

Survivors include two sons, Delbert of Orange City and Marvin of Hull; a daughter, Mrs. Wilbur (Joyce) Van Es of Russellville, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. John (Agnes) Dickson of Magolia, Calif.
