Mrs. Fred Lauters, 81 of Sheldon died Sunday in a nursing home in Sheldon.

Services were at 11am Tuesday in St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Sheldon. Monsignor Leonard Ziegmann officiated. Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery under direction of Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon.

Mrs. Lauters, the former Blanche Jungers, was born Oct. 24, 1905 in Hospers. She married Fred J. Lauters Feb. 4, 1935 in Hospers. The couple farmed in the Hospers area from 1935-77 and moved to Sheldon at that time.

Survivors include her husband.
