Gerrit H. Leusink, 66, of rural Orange City died Tuesday, Feb. 27 in a Sioux City Hospital.

Services were held Friday, March 2 in the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt officiated. Burial was in Memory Garden Cemetery under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Mr. Leusink was born Dec. 28, 1923 in Hull. He married Gertrude Den Herder Jan. 21, 1948 in Sioux Center. A lifelong area farmer, he retired in July 1986 because of illness.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Henry, Ron and Glen all of Orange City; two daughters, Mrs. Harlan (Mary) Harris of Sioux City and Mrs. Rick (Kathy) Rook of Doon; four sisters, Mrs. John (Henrietta) Driesen of Rock Valley, Mrs. Ed (Hattie) Berghorst of Hull, Mrs. Steve (Katherine) Vos of Sioux Center and Jeanette Leusink of Sioux Center and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, three brothers and a brother in infancy.
