Jeanette Van Beek, 86, of Sioux Center died Wednesday, April 12, 2000, in a hospital at Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Graveside services will be at 10 A. M. today at Hope Cemetery in Hull, Iowa. Memorial service will be at 11 A. M. today at First Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. John Witvliet officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Sioux Center.

Mrs. Van Beek was born February 8, 1914 in Hull, the daughter of Bert and Mary (Gritters) Bouma.

On November 20, 1934, she married Arthur Van Beek. They lived in Hull until 1948 when they moved to the Sioux Center area. He died July 29, 1969.
She was a homemaker and worked for Carrie Foods at Dordt College for many years. She also sold for Fuller Brush for 25 years.

She attended First Christian Reformed Church and belonged to the Golden Hour Society.
Survivors include two daughters Myrna of Grandville, Michigan and Lois of Bradenton, Florida; three sisters, Della Krommendyk, Hattie Te Grotenhuis and Gertrude Moss all of Sioux Center; a brother, Otto Bouma of Hull; and a sister-in-law, Grace Bouma of Rock Valley, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a son, Gilmer; a daughter, Joyce Elaine; a sister, Bertha Van Surksum; and two brothers, Peter B. and John.

Memorials may be directed to Western Christian Foundation in Hull.
