From the Thursday, February 1, 1900 Hawarden Independent:

Mrs. Robert Waudby died last Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Hill, a few miles northeast of Hawarden. She was 74 years of age and has been a resident of the home where she passed away the greater part of the time for the past fifteen years. The Independent extends its sympathy to the bereaved ones in their hour of sorrow.

Poster's note: According to her gravestone in Grace Hill/St. Mary's cemetery in Hawarden, Orrey Waudby was born in November 1825 (date looks like November 22 but is unclear on photo). She died January 26, 1900 according to her tombstone. Her husband's obituary says that she was the former Ora (or Orrey) Norton. Among those attending her funeral were her son T.P. Waudby and his wife of Aplington Iowa and her daughter Mrs. Duane Spencer of Ayrshire, Iowa. (Feb. 8, 1900 Hawarden Independent).
