Our sympathy is with Mr. and Mrs. G. Kuiper (Kuyper). Arie their nineteen year old son died Saturday morning after an illness of only a few days. The funeral services were held from the Carmel church and conducted by Rev. De Pree. Last year they lost a boy at about the same age and have sustained the loss of five children in the last three years. They formerly lived near Alton.

(From the So. Co. Cemetery Index Arie was born 4 Oct 1885 died 25 Feb 1905 buried at Carmel IA. His parents were Gysbert Kuyper 25 Dec 1858 died 26 Dec 1924 Carmel and Ella DeJong 1864-1948 Carmel IA. They had a large family.)
