Mrs. William Miller, 80 of Ireton died Monday morning at the Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden.
Services were at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Ireton with the Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home.
Mrs. Miller, the former Bernice Bailey, was born Aug. 15, 1896 in Burlington. She was married June 2, 1926 at Willmar Minn. Mr. Miller died Nov. 10, 1951. She was employed as a nurses aide at the Hawarden Hospital for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the United Methodist Church and she served as the secretary-treasurer of the church board for several years.
Survivors include a son, John B. of Commerce City, Colo.; a daughter, Miss Billie Jean of Ireton; two grandsons, Charles and James both of Burlington and a sister, Mrs. Carl (Mary) Lundeen of Mediapolis.
