Gertrude De Vos. 84. or Ireton died June 29 in a Rock Valley hospital.

Services were July 2 in the Dow Funeral Home in Ireton. The Rev. Bernard Fynaardt officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Ireton.
Mrs. De Vos, the former Gertrude Pluim. was born April 12,1897. in Sioux Center. She married William De Vos in 1920 in Sioux Center. Mr. De Vos died June 23, 1958. After her husband's death. Mrs. De Vos moved to Rock Valley. She had been a resident of Ireton and Rock Valley nursing homes for the past nine years.

Survivors include four sons. William A. of Des Monies, Arthur N. of Hospers. Russell of Ireton,
and Edwin B. of. Rock Valley; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
