Mrs. Den Ouden Of Ireton Dies; Services Today

Ireton, Ia. — Funeral services for Mrs. Katherine Den Ouden, 79, of Ireton, who died late Sunday night at an Iowa Cily hospital following surgery, wiil be held at 1 o'clock today (Thursday) at the residence and at 1:30 at the Christian Reformcd church at Ireton with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Den Ouden was born September 15, 1879, in South Dakota. On March 1, 1916 she married Hildebrand Den Ouden, who died eight years ago.

Survivors include a son, Cornie of Le Mars; four daughters, Miss Alice Den Ouden and Mrs. William De Vries, both of Ireton, Mrs. Willard Huitink of Sioux Center and Mrs. Maude De Ruyter of Manteco, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. William De Raad of Sioux City; a brother, Arie Muilenberg of Beaverton, Ore., and 12 grandchildren.

Poster's note: According to the obituaries of Bertha (Bert) (Den Ouden) Huitink and Cornelius Den Ouden, their mother's maiden name was Kathryn Muilenburg.
