Mrs. Johannes Van Oort , 73, nee Jane Vellinga passed away at her home in Orange City Friday noon at 12:30. Mrs. Van Oort underwent a gall bladder operation 2 months ago, but her general health failed. The departed was raised in this vicinity and was married 55 years ago to Mr. Van Oort who preceded her in death 20 years ago. The living children are Hattie (Mrs. Herman Vander Maaten of Boyden; William and John Van Oort both of Orange Ciry and Kate (Mrs. Gerrit Post) of Sanborn. An infant son died many years ago.

Surviving also are one brother, Evert Vellinga 0f Orange City and five sisters; Mrs. Gerrit Hofmeyer of Orange City , Mrs. Albert Wassink, Mrs. Kalsbeek and Mrs. Henry Vogel of Lydrn, Washington and Mrs. Jacob Van Rooyen of Newkirk

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the First Reformed Church in Orange City with Rev. H. Colenbrander officiating. Interment was made in the Orange City cemetery
