Anthony H. Van Oort, 76, Orange City, died Tuesday, March 11, in the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Services were at 1:30 P. M. Friday in the Newkirk Reformed Church at Newkirk. The Rev. Clarence Van Heukelom officiated. Burial was in Newkirk Cemetery under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Van Oort was born October 6, 1903, at Middleburg. He married Jeanette Van Rooyan January 26, 1928, at Newkirk. Mr. Van Oort farmed for 46 years in the Newkirk area, moving to Orange City six years ago. He was a member of the Newkirk Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; a brother, John of Orange City; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
