Alfred B. Tiedemann, 80, of Hull died Tuesday in a hospital in Sheldon.Services were at 11 A. M. Saturday in St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Hull. The Rev. Lyle Blaede officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Visitation was from7:30 to 8:30 P. M. Friday in the Kraai-Oolman Funeral Home in Hull.

Mr. Tiedemann was born May 27, 1903, in Sheridan Township, Sioux County. He married Katharina Breuer February 20, 1930, at Hull. They farmed in the Boyden-Hull area until retiring to Hull in February 1966.

He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served on various church boards and as president of the congregation. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the German Farmers Mutual Insurance Association of Sioux Center for 27 years, eight of those years as president. He was a former member of Board of Directors of Hull Farmers Co-op Association, Hull Co-op Gas and Oil, Hull Creamery, Boyden Produce and Northwest Breeders Association of Sheldon.

Survivors includes his wife; three sons, Norman and Arnold, both of Hull and Wilmer of Hartley; one daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Luella) Heilman of Melvin; three brothers, William and Vernon, both of Hull and Edward of Sibley; two sisters, Mrs. Ernest (Lillian) Goeringer of Ceylon, Minnesota and Mrs. H. William (Mathilda) Sohl 0f Hull; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandsons
