From the Alton Democrat of April 8, 1905

Word comes from Litchville North Dakota that F. M. (or W.) Romhorst (Ramhorst) who removed there a year ago from Ireton died in a Fargo Hospital Monday night from the effects of a surgical operation for appendicitis. He was only sick three or four days. He bought a fine farm two miles from Litchville and built a nice home. His brother is there. Deceased was a mighty good man. He leaves a family.

(This was found to be Frederick W. Ramhorst listed in the 1900 census living in Reading township, as born Aug 1869 in Ill., he was single at that time. In the 1910 census his widow Lizzie as back in Reading township Sioux County. She had three children Lydia 7, Henry 6, and Fredda 4.
Also found an account on line - Frederick Wilhelm Ramhorst born Aug 29, 1869 died Apr 3, 1905, wife was Elizabeth Katrinka Eilts 1878-1944. He was the son of Heinrick Frederick Ramhorst 1845-1877 and Catherine Maria C. Eickmeyer.)
