Rudolph Wilhelm Heinrich Tiedemann, 86, of Hull died Thursday, February 18, at Sioux Center Community Hospital. Services were Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in rural Hull, with the Rev. Gerald Aamot officiating. Burial was at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Tiedemann was born on July 22, 1912, in rural Hull, the son of Claus Jacob and Maria (Hellwege) Tiedemann. He was raised in Hull.
He married Ruth Helene Ort on June 19, 1946, in Luverne, Minnesota. The couple farmed in the Hull area, retiring in Hull in 1976.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Mervin of Florence, Arizona; three daughters, Marcella and her husband, David Suter, of Rock Valley, Glenda Reddout of Waterloo and Terry Anne and her husband, Vern Smit, of Boyden; six grandchildren, Michael and Matthew Suter, Janet and Kevin Reddout, Mary Jo Jensen and Cassidy Tiedemann; two great-grandchildren; a step-great-granddaughter; and three nephews.
