Ruth Helene Tiedemann, 78, of Hull died Sunday, September, September 12, at her residence.
Services were at 1:30 P. M. Friday at St. Lutheran Church in rural Hull with the Rev. Gerald Aamot officiating. Burial was in St. Lutheran Cemetery.

Mrs. Tiedemann was born March 11, 1921, in Sabetha, Kansas, the daughter of Alvin E. and Emillie (Jaster) Ort. She was raised in the Guernsey, Wyoming, area. When she was younger, she moved to the Hull area. She married Rudolph Wilhelm Heinrich Tiedemann on June 19, 1946, in Luverne, Minnesota. The couple farmed in Hull, retiring in 1976, and moved into Hull. He died February 18, 1999, in Sioux Center. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the church circle. She enjoyed quilting and playing cards.

Survivors include a son, Mervin of Florence, Arizona; three daughters and their husbands, Glenda and Jeff Abbas of Waterloo, Marcella and David Suter of Rock Valley and Terry and Vern Smit of Boyden; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Henry Ort and his wife of Mills, Wyoming, and Oliver Ort and his wife of Nashua; four sisters, Bertha Stellpflug and her husband of Guernsey, Lillian Zeleski of Wildwood, Pennsylvania, Helen Decker of Casper, Wyoming, and Dorothy McNeil and her husband of Powell, Wyoming; and nieces and nephews.
