ALBERT SATTERLEE DIES DEC. 20 AT SIOUX FALLS, SO. DAK. HOSPITAL

Funeral services were held December 23 at 2:00 p.m., at Zion Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls for Albert Satterlee, 78, of 1214 So. Glendale Ave., Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He died at a local hospital December 20.

The Rev. Elmer Kroening officiated. The organist was Mrs. M.W. Moratzka and the vocalist was Miss Mary Siemers. Casket bearers were Paul Norberg, Lud Moratzka, Ernest Rabe, Harold Chrlstensen, Clifford Tradup and Lowell Vickers. Burial was in Hills of Rest Cemetery at Sioux Falls.

Mr. Satterlee was born July 22, 1888, at Ireton, Iowa. He was the youngest of nine brothers. He moved to Sioux Falls in 1947 and has lived there since that time. He was a painter by trade and had been employed by Norberg Brothers for a number of years.

He was married to Miss Carrie Bruns of Ireton, Iowa.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Vivian) Peters of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers, Fletcher, of Litchville, North Dakota who celebrated his 100th birthday in October and Elmer of Central City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his son, Verd, his parents and six brothers.

Poster's note: Albert was the son of Arabella (Peebles) and John Wesley Satterlee. He married Louisa Carolina Fried (Carrie) Bruns about 1910. The son that preceded him in death was Elmer Verd (called Verd) in 1960.

Carrie was my great-great-grandmother's niece.
