Winifred Van Muyden, 74, of Sioux Center died Friday, June 16, in Sioux Center.

Services were at 10:30 A. M. Tuesday, June 20, at First Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Arnold Punt officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

The former Winifred De Vries was born June 2, 1921, in Orange City, the daughter of Peter and Minnie (Kleinwolterink) De Vries. She married Marvin Van Muyden on February 13, 1943, in Mineral Wells, Texas. He died August 3, 1994. She was a housekeeper for many years.

Survivors include two sons, Larry LaRue and his wife Donna and Ward J. Van Muyden, all of Sioux Center; a daughter, Zell Rae De Bruin of Sioux Center; five sisters, Arta Hulsman and Dena Yonker, both of Orange City, Hattie De Groot of Denver, Colorado, Clarine Westra of Orange City and Wilmina Fallow of Davenport; a brother, Pete De Vries of Sioux City; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Johanna De Beer; three brothers, John, Herman and Bert De Vries; and a grandchild.
