Rites Held For Fred L. Imbrock

Funeral services for Fred L. Imbrock, 58, a former resident of Hawarden, were held at Barnard-Dow Funeral home Tuesday afternoon, September 20, Rev. O. F. Pittack officiating.

Interment was at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton under the direction of Two Oakes post of the American Legion of Hawarden. Casket bearers were Cornie Vander Mei, Emil D. Anderson, Orin Boisen, Frank Bowden, Arie Ravenswaay and Hellmuth Schwiesow.

Mrs. Roland Bunge was organist. Verle Marienau sang "Just As I Am" and "Nearer My God To Thee."

Mr. Imbrock was born July 26, 1908, to Herman and Freda Twillman Imbrock on a farm near Ireton. He was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran church of Hawarden. He married Evelyn Grau Nov. 23, 1939.

They moved to Costa Mesa, Calif., seven years ago where he died unexpectedly at his home Sept. 10. He was employed as a security guard for Ford Aeronautics, a division of Philco, of Newport Beach, Calif.

Survivors include the widow; a son Dwight at home; two brothers, William of Centerville, S. D., and George of Los Angeles, and two sisters, Mary (Mrs. Clarence Abrahamson) of Beresford, S. D., and Martha (Mrs. Larry Tracy) of Orange, Calif.
