Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Van Muyden of Hawarden, who died Monday, will be held at the Sioux Center at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon with Rev. J. Van Zweden of Rock Valley in charge. Brief services will be held at the Barnard Funeral Home in Hawarden at 12 o’clock noon.

Mrs. Van Muyden lived in the Hawarden vicinity and Hawarden 35 years. Since the death of her husband she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Nicholas Veldhoen.
She was born at Alkemade, Holland, September 13, 1867, where she grew to womanhood. Grace (Van Pol) was married to Mr. Van Muyden July 8, 1891, in Holland. They came to America in 1902. For 10 years they lived near Sioux Center and later they came to Hawarden.

She is survived by seven children, Mrs. Nicholis Veldhoen, Mrs. Marie Lockard and Leonard Van Muyden of Hawarden, Mrs. Lambert Van Wyhe of Ireton, Mrs. Albert Vander Sluis and Mrs. Barney Okkema of Cicero, Illinois, and Neal Van Muyden of Sioux Center, and one brother, Leonard Van Pol of Doon. Two children died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. Dick Van Wyhe died in 1936. Mrs. Van Muyden joined the church when a young girl.
