From an unidentified newspaper in 1980 (possibly the Doon Press):

MATLOCK -- Fritz J. Sohl, 66, of Matlock, died Friday December 5 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Sheldon. Funeral services were held Monday, December 8 at St. John's Lutherna Church in rural Boyden. Pastor Daniel Hart officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery in Matlock, under the direction of Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home.

Mr. Sohl was born May 4, 1914 in Sioux County. He grew up in Sioux County, attending St. John's School and rural school. On April 13, 1947, he was married to Henrietta Boone in Luverne, Minn. Following their marriage, they lived in the Matlock area. Mr. Sohl was a self-employed truck driver.

Survivors include his wife, Henrietta; a daughter, Phyllis (Mrs. Dave) Erickson of Matlock; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Minnie (Mrs. Gus) Hameister of Jolly, Iowa and Marie (Mrs. Anton) Talsma of Sheldon.
