MATLOCK, Iowa -- Mrs. Fritz Sohl, 64, of Matlock, died Sunday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held Wednesday in St. John's Lutheran Church, rural Boyden. The Rev. William Striepe officiated. Burial in Greenwood cemetery at Matlock.

Mrs. Sohl, the former Henrietta Boone, was born Dec. 22, 1916. She lived most of her youth in the Sheldon area.

She married Fritz Sohl April 13, 1947 at Luverne, Minn. They made teir home at Matlock. Mr. Sohl died in 1980.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Dave (Phyllis) Erickson of Matlock.

(Note: The remainder of the obituary is cut-off in the copy we have and the newspaper does not appear to be online; however, when Mrs. Sohl's husband, Fritz, died in 1980, his obituary also said their were two grandchildren.)

Funeral services were held December 15, at St. John’s Lutheran Church of rural Boyden for Henrietta Sohl, 64, who died December 13, in Sioux City. Pastor William Striepe officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery near Matlock with Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Henrietta was born December 22, 1916, at Newkirk, the daughter of Henry and Reina Boone. She married Fritz Sohl on April 13, 1947 in Luverne, Minn.

She is survived by one daughter, Phyllis (Mrs. Dave) Erickson of Matlock; three grandchildren, Shane, Chad, and Kimberly; three brothers John of Sheldon, Joe of George, and William of Hull; one sister, Mrs. Allie DeBruin of Sheldon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1980, five brothers and two sisters.
