Graveside rites for 49 year old Wayne Van Middendorp were held Tuesday afternoon at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota. Rites were held at 1:00 P. M. with Chaplain James Forbes officiating.Arrangements were under the direction of Frost and Sons Funeral Home.

Wayne Van Middendorp was born October 17, 1935 at Hollandale, Minnesota, to John and Grace Van Middendorp. He attended school at Alvord and Rock Valley. He later served in the Marine Corps. He was married February 26, 1960 at Grand Rapids, Michigan to Sandra Green. He worked as a die castor in Grand Rapids factory until 1978 when the family moved to Belle Fourche, South Dakota. He has been employed as a custodian at Roosevelt School. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra of Belle Fourche, a daughter, Gail Isenberg, Belle Fourche, a grandson, David Wayne Isenberg, his mother, Grace Van Middendorp, Rock Valley, three brothers, John of San Jose, California, Marion of Bakersfield, California, and Alvin of Grand Rapids, Michigan, four sisters, Grace Olson of Gillette, Wyoming, Jeanette Gardner of Wyoming, Michigan, Evelyn De Groot of Bakersfield, California, Ester Fincher of Tempe, Arizona.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1974. Wayne lived at 924 Aurora Street, Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
