Dora Vander Berg

Dora, 23 year old dearly beloved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph. J. Vander Berg died Thursday morning at the Sacred Heart hospital at LeMars following a cerebral hemorrhage. She was taken ill suddenly, Sunday, May 29th and never regained consciousness.

Dora was born on a farm near Sioux Center December 12th, 1914 and grew to young womanhood here. Besides her parents she is survived by her four brothers, John, Henry, William and Ralph; and two sisters, Mrs. Tony Ravenswaay and Mrs. Henry Punt of Sioux Center and hosts of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends who deeply mourn her passing. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 4th at First Reformed Church, Rev. Brunsting officiating. A mixed quartet sang two of her favorite hymns "Redeemed" and "Going Down the Valley".

Pallbearers were Marvin DeGooyer. Gary Verrips, Cornie Rensink, Gilbert Kuhl, Tony Rensink and Fred Kuhl.

The remains were laid to rest in the Sioux Center cemetery.

Poster's note: According to the 1925 Iowa census, Dora's parents were Alice (Koster) and Ralph J. Van De Berg.
