Mr. Anthony J. Van Ommeren passed away Wednesday afternoon. He had been failing gradually since a week ago Saturday when he suffered a stroke. Mr. Van Ommeren was 75 years old.

He was born in 1862 in The Netherlands and came to America in 1902. He and his family moved to Carmel immediately where they took up farming. He retired last winter making his residence here.

Besides his wife, Maria nee Dekker, Mr. Van Ommeren is survived by seven children all of whom except one daughter, Mrs. John Medema of Lynden, Washington, live around here.
The date of the funeral has not been definitely set, but will be in the Reformed Church at Carmel.
