Arthur Sohl

GEORGE - Arthur Sohl, 67, of George, died Friday, June 28 at an Orange City hospital. Services were Monday, July 1 at the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church at George with the Rev. Robert Lueck officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George under the direction of the Vogelaar-Bolin Funeral Home.

Mr. Sohl was born Oct. 17, 1917, in Sioux County. He was a lifelong resident of the George area. He married Thelma Tirrel on Feb. 7, 1948 at George. The couple farmed southwest of George until 1983, when they retired and moved into town.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dennis of Hinton and Dale of George; two brothers, John Sohl of Rock Rapids and Edward of Boyden; one sister, Frieda Fick of Luverne, Minn.; and two grandsons.
