Services for Mrs. Elise Sohl Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Elise Sohl will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at St. Paul Lutheran Church of rural Hull. Family worship will precede the services. Pastor Paul Birkedal will officiate. Interment will be at the St Paul Lutheran Cemetery of Hull.

Visitation will be today, Wednesday, Jan. 22, from 1-9 p.m. with the family present at 7:30 p.m. at the Bolin Funeral Service of George. Arrangements are by the Bolin Funeral Service, George.

Mrs. Elise Sohl was born Jan. 23, 1907 at rural Hull, the daughter of C. Herman and Maggie (Schuett) Breuer. She married Paul John Sohl Feb. 11, 1927 at her parents' home, and to this union six sons were born. They lived and worked most of their life in Sioux County. Her husband died in 1970.

She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church of rural Hull. For the last 11 years, she was a resident of the George Good Samaritan Center. She died there on Saturday, Jan. 18, at the age of 84 years, 11 months and 26 days.

She leaves to cherish her memories: six sons, Robert of Salem, S. C; Alvin of Rock Rapids, Donald of Excelsior, Minn.; Kenneth of Le Grand, Harold and Lawrence both of Hull; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and one brother, August Breuer of George. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one great-grandson.
