Kenneth M. Douma

Kenneth M. Douma, 63, of Sioux Center died Thursday, July 11, 1991, at his home after a long illness.

Services were Monday at Faith Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with the Rev. Clifford Hoekstra officiating. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Douma was born March 22, 1928, in Hull, He married Caroline Walraven September 6, 1949. He was a carpenter.

Douma served as president of the Sioux Center Cemetery Association Board. He was a charter member of Faith Christian Reformed Church where he had served as elder and deacon. He was a past president of the Sioux Center Christian School Board and was a member of the Sioux County Bicycle Club.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Ned Douma and his wife, Judy of Sioux Falls; three daughters and their husbands, Carla and Ray Weeks of Cedar Rapids, Beth and Lylc Ten Haken of Worthington. Minnesota, and Kathy and Leon Van Kley of Sioux Center: 14 grandchildren. Ryan. Christopher, and Rebecca Douma; Joshua, Klmberly and Nicholas Weeks; Michael, Paul and Mark Ten Haken; and Rachel, Dawn, Lee, Julie and Daniel Van Kley; and two sisters. Mrs. Peter (Dorothy) Karssen of Bellflower, California and Mrs. Larry (Elaine) Ebel of Sheldon.

A memorial has been established in his name at Sioux County Hospice.
