Rites Held For Curtis Dimmick

Funeral services for Curtis Dimmick, 80, who died Tuesday night of last week, were held at the First Methodist church Friday afternoon with Rev. S. A. Kruschwitz officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery under the direction of the Frazier Funeral Home.

Curtis Amos Dimmick, son of Isaac and Nancy Dimmick, was born June 2, 1874, at Vandalia, Iowa. Early in life he went to Valentine, Neb., due to the death of his parents. Here he lived with an uncle until his marriage on December 14, 1898, to Martha Holland, when he moved to Tekahmah, Neb. In 1919 he moved with his family to Hawarden where he farmed until about seven years ago. After the death of his wife he came to town to live with his daughter, Mrs. Gladys Rich. In June, 1953, he entered the Panska Home.

Mr. Dimmick was baptized and received into the fellowship of the Christian church.

Survivors are five sons, Guy, Roy, Clifford and Glenn of Hawarden and Elmer of Elk Point; two daughters, Mrs. Gladys Rich and Mrs. Glenn De Wall of Hawarden; one brother, Charles, of South Sioux City; 24 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His wife, three sons and two grandchildren preceded him in death.
