Jacob Dieters

Funeral services for Jacob "Jake" Dieters, 79, of Inwood were held Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Inwood, with interment in Our Savior's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Inwood.

He died suddenly Sunday, January 24, 1993, at the Canton-Inwood Hospital, Canton, South Dakota.

Mr. Dieters was born February 22, 1913, near Rock Valley.

On March 5, 1949, he married Ida Haupt at Bridgewater, South Dakota. Together they farmed west of Larchwood. He was also in the livestock trucking business with his brother, Carl. They retired and moved into Inwood in 1983.

He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, rural Inwood.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Karl of Larchwood and George of Inwood; three daughters, Mrs. Greg (Cathryn) Hanson of Inwood, Mrs. Jim (Jean) Groh of Lafayette Louisiana, and Mrs. David (Mary) Brandt of Houston, Texas; 11 grandchildren; one brother, Carol of Larchwood, and one sister, Mary Reader of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
