Mrs. Anna Dier Dies at Age 69

Mrs. Anna Dier, 69, died unexpectedly last Wednesday afternoon following a heart attack which she suffered in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hodoway.

Mrs. Hodoway had been outside and as she entered the house, her mother remarked she did not feel well and died shortly after.

The rosary was recited at 4 o'clock Friday afternoon in the Frazier Funeral Home with Rev. Fr. R. Graf officiating. The body was sent to her former home, Chicago, and funeral services were held there Monday morning at St. Benedict's Catholic church. Mr. and Mrs. Hodoway accompanied the body to Chicago.

She was born July 17, 1883 in Chicago and spent her entire life in that city until six years ago when she came to Hawarden.

Survivors are the daughter, Mrs. Hodoway of Hawarden; three sons, Fred, William and Henry of Chicago; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
