Funeral services for Mrs. Van Mispelaar, were held in the St. Anthony Church at Hospers on Tuesday, September 6, with Father Thoenessen officiating. Father David McGoey of Rock Valley gave the funeral sermon. Burial was made at Hospers. Mrs. Van Mispelaar died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Gacke, here on Saturday , September 3.

Mrs. Van Mispelaar had been in poor health since last December , and had resided with her daughter here for the past few months.

Mrs. Van Mispelaar was born Ada Marie Boelens on March 28,1863 in the Netherlands. She came to the United States at the age of 18. Two years later she was united in marriage to Breuion Van Mispelaar. To this union five daughters were born, namely Adrain, Mrs. L. l. Henningfeld of Rock Valley; Margaret, Mrs. Will Banks of Sioux City; Johanna, Mrs. Henry Hess, Culver City, California; Kosy, Mrs. Matt Krier, of Emery, South Dakota; Brunetta, Mrs. William Gacke, of Rock Valley.

The Van Mispelaar lived on a farm near Hospers until Mr. Van Mispelaar retired in 1914. Two years later he died and Mrs. Van Mispelaar continued residence in the town of Hospers until a few months prior to her death. Pallbearers were six grandsons, Bernard, Isisdore and Arnold Krier, Roland Wallgenbach and Reginald and LeRoy Gacke.

Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs.Margaret Hurdeman of Warren, Minnesota.
