Michael E. O'Meara
Michael E. O'Meara, 66, of Hawarden, died Jan. 3 in Hudson, S.D., while visiting his brother.
Services were at 10 a.m. Jan. 6 in St. Mary Catholic Church in Hawarden. The Rev. William Carel officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Jan. 5 in the Dow Funeral Home at Hawarden.
Mr. O'Meara was born Jan 29, 1909 in Ireton. He was a World War II veteran and had been a patient at the Veteran's Hospital in Hot Springs, S.D.
Survivors include eight sisters, Mrs. Durette Ney of Hawarden, Mrs. Eva Conway of Fullerton, Calif., Mrs. Irene Graff and Mrs. Norbert (Celia) Goergen both of Grandville, Mrs. Ed (Catherine) La Velle of St James, Minn., Miss Jo of Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Helen Dunkeson of Farmington, N.M. and Mrs. C.N. (Pauline) Peterson of Colorado Springs, Colo,; and three brothers, John of DeKalb, Ill., Robert of Denver, Colo., and Paul of Hudson, S.D.
