Hawarden Independent March 28, 1912

Mrs. John Turner died at her home seven miles southeast of Hawarden Saturday, March 23 after an illness of several months duration. The funeral was held at three o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the M.E. church in this city, Rev. H.C. Nissen conducting the services.

Anna L. Dick was born in York county, Pa. Jan. 29, 1859, making her age 53 years, one month and twenty-three days at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to John Turner Jan. 31, 1878. To this union four children were born, all of whom are still living. The children are Joseph, Jacob and Edgar of Artesian, S.D., and Margie who was still at home. She also leaves an aged father and mother at Durham, Mo., and three brothers and three sisters to mourn her loss. She joined the M.E. church early in life and was a good Christian woman, and a kind and affectionate wife and mother. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.
