Rock Valley - Services for Elizabeth Van Den Top, 89, of Rock Valley, who died April 10 at the Rock Valley Hospital, will be held today (Saturday), 10:30am at the Netherlands Reformed Church at Rock Valley. Pastor A.M. Den Boer will officiate and internment will be at Valley View Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

The former Elizabeth Rozeboom was born Nov. 18, 1895 at Ada, The Netherlands. She received her education in The Netherlands, and came to the United States when she was 18. On March 17, 1915, she was married to Gerrit Van Den Top at Rock Valley. The couple farmed near Alvord and Inwood. He died May 1, 1965. Mrs. Van Den Top became a resident of Valley View Nursing Home in 1967 and lived there until Nov. of 1984. She was a member of the Netherlands Reformed Church.

Surviving are four sons: Dick and Gerrit Jr., both of Canton S.D., George of Sioux Falls, S.D., and William of Rock Valley; three daughters, Alice Langstraat of Larchwood, Gertrude (Mrs. Gerald) Oostra of Sheldon and Jennie (Mrs. Ronald) Brower of Ellsworth, Minn., a brother, Gerrit Rozeboom of Alvord; a sister, Sophie Roskam of Rock Valley; 41 grandchildren, 81 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
