Mrs. Gerrit Top, 94, Orange City died Wednesday in a Rock Valley hospital. Died February 11, 1981.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Trinity Reformed Church at Orange City. Rev. Donald Lenderink officiated. Burial was in the Newkirk Cemetery. Visitation was in the Van Gelder Funeral Home at Orange City.

Mrs. Top, the former Nelle Popma, was born Nov. 23, 1886, at Orange City.

She was married Jan. 21, 1909, at Orange City. The couple farmed in the Newkirk area.

In July of 1976, she entered Valley Manor Nursing Home at Rock Valley. Mr. Top died Feb. 18, 1977.

Mrs. Top was a member of Trinity Reformed Church where she was a Sunday School and catechism teacher for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Arie (Winnifred) Bomgaard of Sioux Center and Mrs. Henry (Kathryn) Bomgaars of Orange City; a son, Clifford of Newkirk; a brother, Chris of Clearwater, Fla.; 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
