Funeral services were held at Central Reformed Church here at 1:30pm, Wednesday, November 10, for Paul Veenkamp, 69, employed in recent years at Peters IGA, who died Monday morning at a Sioux City hospital following a short illness.

Services were conducted by Rev. Marion Klaaren and burial was made in Sioux Center Cemetery under direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral home.

Mr. Veenkamp was born May 27, 1896, in Sioux Center and had a life-long resident of the community.

He married Winnie De Groot June 4, 1920, in Sioux Center. To this union two sons and one daughter were born, all of whom survive him along with the widow.

The children are John Conrad of Storm Lake, Willard John of Owatonna, Minn.; Mrs. Norman Bastemeyer of Orange City.

Also surviving him area a sister, Mrs. Dick Van Aller of Grand Rapids, Mich., and seven grandchildren.
