Mrs. Dolphin (mistake - Mrs. Tulp) and old lady seventy nine (actually 89) years died last Friday at her home in the old town. Funeral services were held from the Dutch Reformed church.

(This was a PUZZLE! Cornelis's mother had died in the Netherlands, upon finding a photo on our site which led to clues that it was Mrs. Dolfin's mother who had died not her husband's mother. Harmke Jans Niebur was born July 28, 1815 Hellum Nethl and came to the USA in 1894 died Jan 15, 1905. Her husband was Aike Wichers Tulp 1795-1876 he died in the Netherlands She had at least three children Harmina (Mrs. Dolfin, Jan Tulp and Wijcher Tulp )

Translated, This week Friday morning Mrs. Tulp at the ripe old age of 89 years died, she was the mother of Mrs. Dolfin.
