Funeral services were held at the Christian Reformed Church, Thursday afternoon for Mrs. William Timmer, conducted by Rev. Wassink of Inwood.

Mrs. Timmer nee Martha Gertrude Baak, was born August 12, 1880 at Appledoorn, Holland, where she received her education in that vicinity. Her parents and brothers and sisters passed away while she was still young with the exception of one brother who resides in Grand Rapids, Mich. She married William Timmer, August 25, 1904 at Valburg, Holland. They journied to this country in 1913 and lived in Grand Rapids, Mich. for a time and then came where they spent some time in Sioux Center and spent one year in Minnesota and came to Rock Valley in 1923 where they have lived ever since.

Seven children were born to this union, two, Fredereka and Ida passing away in infancy. Left to mourn are the widower William Timmer, four sons, Bernard, (Peter & George) in service in Europe, Jake of Rock Valley, recently discharged, and one daughter Mrs. Gerrit Van Maanen of Rock Valley and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Timmer passed away on Monday, July 23, in the Hull hospital after an illness of several months.
