Richard R. Richters, 50, of Hawarden, was dead on arrival Saturday, August 10, 1985, at a Hawarden hospital after being stricken at home.

Services were held at 1:30 P. M. Monday at American Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. Robert Hamel officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. There was a prayer service at Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Richters was born July 29, 1935, in Akron. He married Lucille Rus on February 1, 1960, in rural Inwood. He lived in the Hawarden area all his life and was a member of American Lutheran Church. He was employed by Alkota Cleaning Systems in Alcester.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Anden (Mavis) Van Beek of Rock Valley and Mrs. Duane (Pam) Schulling of Hawarden; two sons, Darryl of Hawarden and Mark of Orange City; his mother, Mrs. Emma Richters of Akron; three brothers, Henry of Centerville, George of Davenport, and Clarence of Sioux Center; five sisters, Mrs. Joe (Dorothy) Graff of Hospers, Mrs. Kenneth (Frances) Meade of Davenport, Mrs. Herman (Bernice) Vander Ham of Hawarden and Mrs. Cris (Ester) Beeck and Helen Martin, both of Akron, and five grandchildren
