Sioux Center News, June 8, 1983

Albert Timmer, 69, of Sioux Center died Monday at his home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday in the First Reformed Church in Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt will officiate. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M., today in the Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Timmer was born April 9, 1914, at Sioux Center. He married Pearl Rozeboom, June 3, 1935, at Sioux Center. They lived on a farm northwest of Sioux Center for 28 years moving to town in 1963. They were owners and operators of the House of Fashion for 15 years.

He was an associate rural mail carrier, retiring three years ago.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Jasper of Sioux Center; four daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Delores) Vande Kamp of Hardick, MN; Mrs. George (Thelma) Hedges of Scranton; Mrs. Dave (Marjorie) Steffens of Primghar and Mrs. Don (Linda) Clousing of Oostburg, WI; 16 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established in his name with the American Cancer Society.
