Hawarden Independent, February 25, 1943

Thhe infant son of Mr. & Mrs. Henry Timmer who reside northeast of here suffocated in his bed last Saturday morning. The babe was born at the Hawarden hospital, Sunday Feb. 14, and the mother and son were removed to their home last Wednesday.

Funeral services were held at the Barnard Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rev. Clarence W. Hanscom in charge. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery.

Besides his parents, the baby is survived by two brothers and one sister.

Frank Van Buskirk and Seward Van Buskirk of Sioux City, father and brother of Mrs. Timmer, and Mrs. G. Timmer of Rock Valley, mother of Mr. Timmer were here to attend the funeral.
