Jennie Timmer, 72, of Doon, died Tuesday, February 18, in a hospital in Rock Rapids.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., Friday, February 21, in the First Congregational Church in Doon. The Rev. Tim Mason officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Doon.

Mrs. Timmer, the former Jennie Vande Weerd, was born November 26, 1913, in Rock Valley and attended Rock Valley Community School. She married Bernard J. Timmer, July 29, 1929, in Canton, S.D. They lived in Rock Valley and Ireton before moving to Doon in 1941.

Mrs. Timmer was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lindy (Martha) Kruger of George; five brothers, Ray of Payette, Idaho; Fred of Orange City, Lockie of Cassel, CA, and Charles & Thomas; two sisters, Mrs. Arie (Delia) Boscaljion of Rock Rapids, and Mrs. Dexter (Mary Alice) Brantzeg of Blackfoot, Idaho; eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
