Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 5, at the First Reformed Church of Boyden at 1:30 for Steve Vanden Brink, who passed away Sunday after suffering a heart attack.

Services were conducted at the family home at 1 P.M., immediately preceding the church services. Rev. Henry Baak officiated. Burial was made in the Boyden cemetery.

Mr. Vanden Brink was born July 4, 1895, and was a life long resident of Boyden. For 39 years he was associated with the Boyden Farmers Savings Bank. He retired from this position as vice president and since then he has been engaged in the real estate and insurance business.

Mr. Vanden Brink was an elder of the United Presbyterian Church and served as the Sunday School superintendent. He was also a member of the Boyden American Legion Post and was treasurer of the local school board.

He leaves to mourn; his wife, Gertrude; a daughter, Dorothy, Mrs. Marvin Diekivers, of Hull; a son, Logan of Boyden; a sister, Dora Vanden Brink, of Springfield, MO; two brothers, Art of Sheldon and Raymond of Springfield, MO; four grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
