Funeral services for Aart Vanden Brink of Sheldon were held Wednesday at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home and the Christian Reformed Church of Hospers with Rev. B. J. Haan officiating. Burial was in the Hospers Cemetery with Vander Ploeg's in charge of arrangements.

Aart Vanden Brink, Sr., passed away Sunday, January 30, at the age of 80 years, 1 month and 27 days. He was born in The Netherlands and came to America at the age of 18. In 1895 he was married to Anna Van Kley and to this union 8 children were born. His wife and the following children preceded him: Winnie (Mrs. Gerrit Vanden Hul), Gertie (Mrs. Simon Brink), Dora Vanden Brink and Arie Vanden Brink. He is survived by Art Vander Brink of Hospers, Jeanette (Mrs. Sam Oldenkamp) of Orange City, Grace (Mrs. Case Elshuis) of Primghar; Anna (Mrs. Erland Osburg) of Lincoln, Nebr., a brother John of Manton, Michigan, William of Lake Benton, MN; and a brother and sister in the Netherlands. There are 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In October, 1937 he was married to Mrs. Anna Poel of Sioux Center who preceded him in death in December, 1953.
