TOWN AND COUNTY.

Arent Zoete died at his home last Saturday afternoon at four o'clock; the funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the First Reformed church. Arent had been bedfast for nearly a year, and suffered a great deal before death took him away. He was a young man of 25 years, and although never a strong healthy boy, it must be hard, indeed, for the parents to have their youngest boy taken away.

Not a year ago they laid their oldest boy in his last resting place and Arent has soon followed his brother who has gone before; death is no respector of persons, he takes young and old, and cometh like a thief in the night; we know not the day nor the hour when we shall be called up yonder.
