George Katz' Funeral Held At BenVonk Home.

George Katz, who is the father of Ben Vonk of Sioux Center, died in Chicago on Saturday, December 10 [*that Saturday was Dec. 13], 1941 at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Jansma. He was 64 years old at the time of his passing and death was due to a heart attack. The funeral was held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ben Vonk on Monday of this week, 1 o'clock at the home and 1:30 at the 2nd Christian Reformed Church in Sioux Center with Rev. Keuning officiating and assisted by Rev. Bronkema of Orange City. Interment was in the Sioux Center cemetery. Mrs. Ben Vonk's mother died April 19, 1932. Other children surviving are: Mrs. Garrit Kalsbeek, Esteline, S.D.; Mrs. Frank Kalsbeek, Garrit Katz, both from Castlewood, S.D., Mrs. Nick Dolieslager and George Katz Jr. both from Belflower, Calif., Peter Katz, Pardeeville, Wisc.; and Mrs. Al Eelister of Randolph, Wisc.
