Maggie Siebersma.
Mrs. Maggie Siebersma, age 101 of Orange City, passed away Tuesday, March 3, in the Long Term Care Facility of the Orange City Municipal Hospital. Funeral Services were held on Friday, March 6, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church in Orange City. The Rev. Timothy Ouwinga officiated with interment following at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City. The Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City was in charge of arrangements.

Maggie was born October 30, 1896, in The Netherlands, the daughter of Hermonus and Sjoukje (Holtrop) Scheeringa. She came to the United States when she was five years old, and her family settled in Sioux County. On January 28, 1915, she married Cornelius Siebersma in Orange City. They farmed at Orange City. Mr. Siebersma passed away March 2, 1939 in Sioux City. Mrs. Siebersma then moved into Orange City. On February 25, 1943 she married Henry Kramer in Orange City. He passed away January 27, 1971 in Orange City. On November 18, 1975, she married Steve Siebersma in Orange City. He passed away November 14, 1988 in Orange City.

Maggie has been a resident of the Long Term Care Facility since 1990. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, where she had belonged to the Thy Kingdom Come Society. In earlier years, she had been active in the Monica Society.

Survivors include her nine children, Sophia Van Zee of Rock Valley; Lucille and her husband, Elmer Vande Brake of Sioux Center; Hermina and her husband, Nelson Muilenburg of Orange City; Steve Siebersma and his wife, Lois of Squim, Washington; Edna and her husband, Frank Katje of Escondido, California; Stanley Siebersma and
his wife, Nelvie of Mesa, Arizona; Marjorie and her husband, Elmer Hofland and Cornelius Siebersma, Jr. and his wife, Audrey all of Orange City; and Marilyn and her husband, Chester Faber of Escondido; 43 grandchildren, 109 great-grandchildren, 33 great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Hattie Oolman of Orange City; Catherine Vogelaar of Escondido; and Sue Ver Steeg of Orange City; and eleven step-children.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Richard Van Zee; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Edith Vink, Tillie Kuiken and Jennie Muilenburg; and three step-children. Memorials are being directed to Orange City Christian Schools.
