Burton James Eisma.

Burton James Eisma, 69, of rural Maurice died Tuesday, September 18, 1990, at a hospital in Le Mars following a short illness. Services were held Friday at Calvin Christian Reformed Church in Le Mars with the Rev. Edward Visser officiating. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Le Mars. Visitation was held at
Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mr. Eisma was born March 6, 1921,in Sioux County, the son of Sipke and Jennie (Katje) Eisma. He married Gertrude Florence Maassen March 15, 1946, in Maurice. She died November 15, 1979. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Eisma was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church of Le Mars and Bertram Post 276, American Legion of Ireton.

Survivors include two sons, Rodney and his wife, Connie Eisma of Le Mars and Stanley and his wife, Shirley Eisma of Maurice; six grandchildren, Gretchen, Nicholas and Brandy Eisma, all of Le Mars and Christopher, Jeremy and Connie
Eisma, all of Maurice; four brothers, Sidney, Peter and Allen Eisma, all of Ireton and Eugene Eisma of Inwood; and a sister, Mrs. Sadie De Vries of Denver. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ernest.
